Locally-sourced food exploding with flavor

The Grafton Inn is famous for its imaginative cuisine, thoughtfully prepared with fresh, locally-sourced food and exploding with flavor. A hearty, healthful breakfast is included in your stay. Savor casual dining at the Phelps Barn Pub, or enjoy the candlelit ambiance of the Old Tavern Restaurant with its focus on farm-to-table dining. Our knowledgeable service staff is eager to explain ingredients and methods, and to help you explore our cuisine with us.

1801 Tavern

Located within the Main Inn, the 1801 Tavern (formerly the Old Tavern Restaurant) puts the taste of Vermont right at your fingertips. Our culinary team proudly present rotating seasonal menus featuring bold dishes, prepared with the freshest local ingredients and plated to perfection. As a farm-to-table restaurant and member of the Vermont Fresh Network, the food we serve will always be prepared with ingredients sourced from local and sustainable purveyors throughout New England (and sometimes, straight from our own gardens!).

Our property offers one delicious menu that can be enjoyed in any of our dining spaces. The 1801 Tavern is a casual dining atmosphere with no dress code requirements.

Even the hayloft has been repurposed and renovated, providing an elevated seating area as well as our 8-tap bar serving the best of Vermont’s craft beer and local spirits.
