For an event that will leave everyone in attendance impressed, plan your next outing at our beautiful Vermont meeting space. The Grafton Inn specializes in hosting small corporate meetings and intimate executive retreats for groups, non-profits, and social gatherings. Our Vermont event venue features a picturesque village setting and modern business services, creating an atmosphere that’s both professional and relaxed. Meeting facilities are conveniently located throughout the inn’s historic buildings, just steps away from one another. Rental fees apply to all spaces and discounted group rates are available (subject to change seasonally).
The Grafton Inn’s Facilities
One of our largest meeting rooms with a working stone fireplace. Can accommodate 70 theater style, 30 classroom style, 30 in a u-shape conference, 50 for a reception. (780 sq. ft.)
Beautifully decorated classic conference room overlooking a natural pond. Large classic boardroom table seats up to 12. (345 sq. ft).
This fully restored working barn now serves as a gathering place for up to 150 guests. An ideal location for wedding receptions, Christmas parties, buffet lunches or after meeting drinks and appetizers. The Phelps can accommodate musical performances and also has its own bar service. (1,850 sq. ft.).
Barrett & White Gates
Two of Inn’s four rental houses, whose large living rooms are often used for retreats. Barrett House can accommodate up to 15 and White Gates up to 20. A patio at White Gates can provide an outdoor meeting space.
Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center
It’s our Nordic center in the winter and biking center in the summer/fall and the ultimate team bonding experience for your group.
We can accommodate up to 35 people in this space.
The Grafton Inn has 45 rooms that are individually appointed with period antiques
and include private baths, sitting areas, and air conditioning.
11 rooms, including three suites.
Windham & Homestead Cottages
18 rooms, including two suites.
Four separate houses accommodate six to 10 people, or up to 15 people for private meetings, giving the inn another 16 rooms. All houses have kitchens and dining rooms.

The award-winning Old Tavern Restaurant offers locally-inspired American cuisine. The menu changes with each season to feature the freshest local ingredients. Chef Cal Hingston works with meeting planners to create personalized menus. All meals and snacks can be prepared in buffet, continental or formal affair. From coffee and snacks for a meeting to full lunches and dinners, we can accommodate all of your group’s dining needs.
Grafton Village, Vermont, is conveniently located just 12 miles from
I-91, one of Vermont’s two main highways. Located 2 hours from Hartford, 2.5 hours from Boston and 4.5 hours from New York City.
Closest airports: Burlington, Vt., 2 hours; Manchester, NH, 2.25 hours; Bradley Int’l. (Hartford, Conn.), 1.75 hours.
Vermont Public Radio held our annual board of directors retreat at the Grafton Inn in spring 2016 and we were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The staff are exceptionally accommodating, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the meeting and dining rooms were perfect for our needs. We booked a fifteen-person overnight leadership retreat at the Grafton Inn in late October and all members unanimously agreed it was a tremendous hit. Our plan was to get some timely strategic planning done in a sequestered environment that would offer us refreshing walks and relationship-building breaks in the Vermont countryside.
