Our historic inn and restaurant in southern Vermont offers on-site dining year-round at our Phelps Barn Pub, and seasonal service in our 1801 Tavern & Pine Room Bar. All of our dining spaces feature locally-sourced ingredients prepared by food-loving professionals to create timeless, hearty dishes that will please any palate. We can accommodate walk-ins, though we highly suggest that you make a reservation to ensure your dining experience is as pleasant as it can be. Serving as the primary dining space at our southern Vermont hotel, the Phelps Barn has a warm and casual setting, with patio dining available seasonally. Walk-ins welcome at the bar or as space is available.

Outdoor Dining Options

As an extension of the Phelps Barn Restaurant, we have two adjacent courtyard spaces with 12 tables in total. We do not take reservations for our outside tables but recommend making an earlier dinner reservation as these tables are first come, first serve. Our maximum table for outside is 6 guests.

Starting July 1st- August- Join us for live music on the patio this summer Tuesday and Wednesday nights! Music will be outside if weather permits, otherwise it will be inside the Phelps Barn.

Grafton Inn Dog Policy.

We love dogs; however, we do not permit dogs in our dining outlets including our courtyard patio. We apologize for the inconvenience. We only permit service dogs for all dining locations. If you would like to take food to go and sit down by our swimming pond during our normal operating hours you are more than welcome to do so. Dogs must always be on a leash. Thank you for your understanding.
